Rev. Dr. Brenda McBorrough is committed to serving God through preaching, teaching, speaking, facilitation, missions, and community engagement. She is also a dedicated advocate against human trafficking and domestic violence, serving both the local church and the broader community.

Rev. Dr. Brenda McBorrough serves as an Associate Minister at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Centreville, Virginia, where she is the Minister of Outreach and Community Impact. In this role, she provides leadership for home and global missions, community outreach, and ministries that meet practical needs with compassion and excellence. She acknowledged her call to ministry in 1998, was licensed to preach in 2002, and was ordained in 2011 under the pastorate of Rev. Dr. Eugene Johnson. Dr. McBorrough holds a Master of Divinity from the John Leland Center for Theological Studies and a Doctor of Ministry from Palmer Theological Seminary of Eastern University, with a concentration in contextual leadership and missional church renewal. Her scholarship and ministry equip churches to respond holistically to family violence, and she remains a committed advocate against human trafficking and domestic violence.

Grounded in the conviction that disciple-making is both proclaimed and practiced, Dr. McBorrough helps others experience God’s love while equipping disciples to fulfill the Great Commission. She is passionate about participating in God’s mission at home and abroad.

Dr. McBorrough has participated in and led mission immersions in Argentina, South Africa, Ethiopia, Liberia, Ghana, and Puerto Rico. She serves as President of Women in Service Everywhere (WISE) with the Lott Carey Baptist Global Mission Community and as Chair of the Commission on Home and Global Mission for the Northern Virginia Baptist Association.

In 2016, Dr. McBorrough transitioned her professional focus to ministry and missions. She draws on 28 years of senior-level experience in business leadership, management, systems, and resource development to deliver creative, strategic solutions in the local church and the community.

Her community service includes the Fairfax Communities in Action (FCIA) Domestic Violence Committee, the Fairfax County Council to End Domestic Violence (CEDV), and the Fairfax County Emergency Food Strategy Team. In 2021, she was recognized as the Sully District Community Champion for her efforts to address food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
